Thomas Elic Robinson, age 95, of Mills River, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Sapphire Ridge Health and Rehab in Bevard, NC surrounded by family as he went to his heavenly home.
Thomas was born on October 7, 1928, in Yancey County, NC to the late Greenberry Robinson and Bessie Mae McIntosh Robinson. He worked for Biltmore Dairy as a Milk Bottler and was retired. He was a faithful and lifelong member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church. Throughout his life Elic was known for his spiritual service, as a deacon. He was a master gardener and shared his fruits and veggies with friends and neighbors. He loved his farm.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Annie Bell Freeman Robinson; sisters, Mary Lou Jamerson, Grace Ray, Inez Quinn, and Shirley Robinson; brothers, David (Carmel) Robinson, Gay Robinson, Dewey Robinson, Cecil Robinson, Frank Robinson, Earl Robinson and Jerry Robinson; and granddaughter Amy Rast.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Tommy (Hazel) Robinson of Mills River, NC and Chance ( Shelby) Lands of Hendersonville, NC; two daughters, Janice Hill of Mills River, NC and Linda (Bobby) Goodwin of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren, Chris Hill, Rodney Robinson and Crystal Gardner; 14 great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Starr, Chase, Logan, Amber, Walker, Alissa, Marshall, Mason, Levi, Laken, Locklin, Linley, and Leo; and two sisters, Betty Ray of Madison County, NC and Pansy Hathaway of Weaverville, NC.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Boiling Springs Baptist Church, 1291 Fanning Bridge Road, Fletcher, NC 28732, with Pastor Phillip Luther officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at Boiling Springs Baptist Church from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at the church Cemetery.
The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Four Season Hospice and Boiling Springs Baptist Church, building fund.
