Bobbie Curry Kramer, died at the Solace Center in Asheville, NC on February 20, 2018, following a stroke. Born in Miami, FL, to parents Robert (Sarah Ruella) McCombs, who predeceased her along with sisters Lois and Mary, niece Virginia and beloved husbands, Alton Curry and Hugh Kramer. She had a successful 40 year career in banking, beginning as a teller with AmeriFirst Federal S & L in Miami and, after a transfer in the mid '70's to the Orlando Division of AmeriFirst, that was then purchased by Coral Gables Federal S & L, she retired in 1992, having risen to Sr. VP. Bobbie is survived by 3 great nephews, Dale (Lory), Allen (Mary Ellen) and Russell (Sharon) Owens; 3 nephews, Donnie, Robert and Toby and a niece, Sharon Carter; 2 step-sons, Steve and Scott (Angie) Kramer; step-granddaughter, Sarah Kramer; brother-in-law, Harold (Marga) Curry; along with many friends. Everyone who ever met Bobbie, loved her. She was beautiful, elegant and always gracious. Her passion and hobby was travel and did so extensively all of her life with both husbands, family, and friends. She relocated to Asheville, NC in 2008, fulfilling her desire to live in the mountains. In recent years she attended Biltmore Church of Christ. She will be greatly missed.
At her request, there will be no funeral and her ashes will be interred in Orlando, FL with her 2 husbands. Any contributions made to the John F. Keever, Jr., Solace Center at 21 Belvedere Road, Asheville, NC 28803 would be appropriate. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Kramer family.
