I remember Herman as a man of strong. ideas and convictions. . He was a very good neighbor to my mom and dad. Always sharing everything he grew in his wonderful garden. A strong community person. Will be missed by all

I just wanted to tell you how much I thought of your dad Herman. He was so helpful to Joe and I when we moved into the neighborhood on Starnes Cove Drive. I had no idea he had so many awards! That says that he was a brave man as he served his country. I remember you girls as you grew up and know he loved you and was proud of you!

A good, good man was Herman Hipps. I worked with him in the Post Office and we were
members of the VFW and the Democrat Mens Club of Buncombe County. Herman was someone you could depend on in anything in which he was involved. A big loss for this community.
