Jacob "Jack" Evans

    Jacob "Jack" Evans, 91, of Asheville, NC passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the JFK Solace Center in Asheville. He was born on December 4, 1926 in Ellsworth, PA to the late Jacob and Anna Liscend Evans. Jack worked as a sales representative for General Cigar Co. for 20 years and was also a United States Navy Veteran. His favorite pastime was playing golf. He was also a Master Mason and a member of Black Mountain Lodge. Jack is survived by his wife, Benny Jo Taylor Evans; his son, Jack Evans (Cathy) of Reistertown, MD; his daughter, Bonnie Jean Trembulak (Dan) of Seminole, FL; and his two grandchildren, Laura Evans Rickert (Todd) and Zachary Evans (Jenny).
    There will be a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society at 120 Executive Park Building 1, Asheville, NC 28801. The burial will be at the VA Cemetery in Asheville at a later date. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Evans family.
