Jeffrey Andrew Jacobs

Jeffrey Andrew Jacobs, 42, of McDowell passed Monday August 21, 2017. He was a native of Jackson County, but lived in Buncombe and McDowell at different times. He was a son of Mary Justice Jacobs of Leicester and the late Joseph C. Jacobs. Jeffrey worked as a landscaper and also a carpenter. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Jennifer Jolly Jacobs of McDowell; sons: Christopher M. Jacobs, Alex Jacobs of Haywood, and Jonathan Jacobs of Nebo; daughter, Haley Jolly of Nebo; siblings: Joseph C. Jacobs Jr. of PA, Lawson Jacobs of VA, Michael Jacobs of Ft. Worth, TX, Roy Jacobs and Joseph Daniel “Buddy” Jacobs both of Haywood, Nellie Jacobs and husband, Joshua L. Martin of Leicester, and Patricia Jacobs, and four grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Gospel Tabernacle, 16 Brickyard Road, Asheville with the family receiving friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Penland Family Funeral Home to help with the costs of funeral expenses. Penland Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with services. .
