Mary Lee (McFalls) Craig

Mary Lee McFalls Craig, 76, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at her home in Swannanoa. She was born on May 1, 1941 in McDowell County to the late Charles and Florence Elizabeth Lipsey McFalls. Mary worked as a housekeeper, was on the Presbyterian Retreat Board and of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her son, William Everrett Craig "Pee Wee"; her sister, Minnie Pearl Branch; and her uncle, Perry McFalls. Mary is survived by her sons, Frank Craig and his wife Lois and Johnny Craig of Swannanoa; her daughter, Tana Craig of Swannanoa; her sister, Ruby Jo Lanning of McDowell County; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Mountain View Memorial Park in Black Mountain. Rev. Kelly Belcher will be officiating the service. Mary will be buried alongside her mother, Florence; her sister, Minnie; and her uncle, Perry. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the Craig family.
