Patricia Louise (Smith) Lindsley

Patricia Louise Smith "Pat" Lindsley, 75, of Asheville, passed away April 28, 2017 at J. F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Pat was a daughter of the late Oswald "Monk" Smith and Blanche Smith. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her siblings, Joan Werhan, Nancy Deweese, and Charlie Smith.

Pat was a graduate of Lee Edwards High School, and a retired teacher for Johnston Elementary.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, John Cornell Lindsley of the home; children, Angela Kay Lindsley of Asheville, Rocky Darren Lindsley (Natalie) of Asheville, and Beth Lindsley McLaughlin (Michael) of Fletcher; 11 grandchildren, Chris Sluder, Shelby Harrell, Siera Williams, Spencer Williams, Kapri Lindsley, Whitney Fletcher, Savannah McLaughlin, Jacob Locke, Sydney McLaughlin, Anna Locke, and Sienna McLaughlin; and great-granchildren, Jaxon Lanning, and Hayze Lambert.

Private services will be held by the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center, 21 Belvedere Road, Asheville, NC 28803. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at CarePartners and the J.F. K. Solace Center for their love and care of Pat.
