Pearl Rose (Bradley) Roland

Pearl Rose Roland, 96, of Black Mountain passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Mountain Ridge Health Care Center in Black Mountain. She was born on August 3, 1921 in Buncombe County, NC to the late Michael George and Julia Etta Pittman Bradley. She was employed with S&W Cafeteria, Kearfott Manufacturing and Blue Ridge Assembly and a member of Kerlee Heights Baptist Church of Black Mountain. She was widowed by her husband, Wayne William Roland who passed on July 23, 1981. Pearl is also preceded in death by her sons, Charles W. Roland who passed in 2008 and Dennis C. Roland who passed in 2017. She is survived by her seven grandchildren, Regina Hollifield of Statesville, Deborah Bartlett (Ronnie) of Black Mountain, Elisha Mumpower (Bryan) of Swannanoa, Kimberly Edlington of Black Mountain, Matthew Roland (Maria) of Huntsville, AL, Deana Orta (Quillon) of Swannanoa and Jack Lunsford of Barnardsville; daughter-in-law, Brenda Roland; fifteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. 
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Kerlee Heights Baptist Church in Black Mountain. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Officiating the service will be Rev. Kenneth Rhinehart and Rev. Charles Duyck. Memorials may be made to CarePartners Hospice at PO Box 25338 Asheville, NC 28113.
