Robert Dale Nichols, age 58 of Mars Hill, NC passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Mr. Nichols was born on June 3, 1958 in Burke County, North Carolina to the late Carl Olden Nichols and Betty Jean Cooper Nichols.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Cindy Denise DeVern Nichols of the home; daughter, Tamara Schauman (Pat) of Hickory, NC; and son, Bo Nichols (Stephanie) of Maiden, NC; siblings, Carla Nichols (Christine) of Drexel, NC, Vickie West of Valdese, NC, and Olin Nichols (Brenda) of Drexel, NC; eight grandchildren; step-daughter, Amy Bennett (Michael) and Michael “Keith” Moss, both of Candler, NC.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Gospel Tabernacle with Reverend Jerry Hensley officiating.
