William Eugene Wyatt

William "Bill" Eugene Wyatt, 63, of Asheville passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the John F. Keever Jr., Solace Center in Asheville. Born on August 7, 1953 in Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Donald Eugene Wyatt and Helen Anders Wyatt. He was an avid guitarist with a special admiration for George Jones. Bill had a passion for nature and enjoyed bowling in his younger days. He was a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church and had worked hard to get his heart right with his Lord. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Wyatt. Surviving are his children, Wendy Wyatt and her spouse, Keith Reed, and Amy Ballard and her spouse, Tim Ballard, all of Weaverville, and Josh Martin and his spouse, Nellie Jacobs, of Leicester, and a sister, Judy Taylor and her spouse, Elmer Taylor, of Swannanoa. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Gospel Tabernacle Church in Asheville. The family will receive friends an hour and a half prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Penland Family Funeral Home, 125 South Avenue, Swannanoa, NC 28778, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
