Diane Lynn Cordell, 45, of Asheville passed away peacefully in her sleep and ascended home to our Lord Jesus Christ and Savior on Friday, September 14, 2012.

Surviving is her husband of 29 years, Kent Alan Cordell; parents, Larry and Martha Bradley; children, Joshua Alan Cordell and wife, Melissa, Brooke Athena Cordell, and Mitchell Larry Cordell; Uncle and Aunt, Bill and Louise Carland; cousin, Brenda Tomberlin and husband, John,  and two wonderful grandchildren, Jocelyn Nicole Cordell and Noah Cordell Thompkins, and Paisley Nora-Rose Cordell due in January. 

Being only 45 years of age, I am especially reminded of James 4:14, “For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away”.  All the pain of this life can not compare to the joy that is coming.  As this life but a vapor, soon we will to vanish, and then we shall meet again.  Mama, we love you.

A funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Monday in the chapel of Penland Family Funeral Home in Swannanoa with the family receiving friends an hour prior to the service.

Dear Nephew, I am so sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to your family. We can take comfort in knowing we will see her again one day in a new body.....I love you more than you know and you will be in my heart in the coming days.
