Dawn Marie (Crump) Benjamin

Dawn Marie Benjamin, age 55 of Asheville, NC went home to be with her heavenly Father, in the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at her residence with her loving husband Paul, by her side.

Dawn was born on July 1, 1968, in St. Lawrence County, NY to the late Walker Crump and Sharon St. Hilaire Crump. 

She earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Buffalo University and was the owner of her practice, Proverb Counseling. Dawn was a member of Revol Church in Asheville.

She was a devout Christian lady, and a virtuous woman, who loved the Lord with all of her heart. She was a prayer intercessor and loved to bring people together. She had the gift of hospitality and always ended her gatherings with prayer. Dawn enjoyed being out in nature. Going on hikes, and relaxing at the beach was what she loved to do in her spare time.

Dawn was a wonderful and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, counselor and friend. She loved her family, friends, and adored her precious children and grandchildren. She was the blessed soul mate to her husband, Paul, who says she was his “flower for a season”. Dawn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 12 years, Reverend Paul Benjamin; a handsome son, Nick Snyder and his wife Samantha of NY; a beautiful daughter, Erika Marlowe and her husband Kevin of NY; her children in love, Paul Benjamin, Jr. and his wife Amy of New Mexico, Leah, Simone, and Samuel Benjamin, all of FL; two dear sisters, Norma Mitchell and Kathy Sherwood and her husband Scott, both of NY; eight beautiful grandchildren, Aden, Wyatt, Kyler, Katherine, Kaden, Yasmin, Jayden, and Aylin.

A Celebration of Dawn’s life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PMat Revol Church, 399 Beaverdam Rd., Asheville, NC, 28804, officiated by Pastor Matthew Coleman and Reverend Paul Benjamin.  A second Celebration of Life service remembering Dawn will be held on April 20, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at New Testament Church of Massena (NTC) in Massena, NY, 265 Andrews St., Massena, NY 13662, with Reverend Paul Benjamin and Pastor Greg Hurlbut officiating. A third Celebration of Life remembering Dawn will be held on April 27, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Harvest Time International at 225 Harvest Time Drive, Sanford, FL 32771, with Reverend Paul Benjamin officiating.
