Alfred "Butch" Lackey Obituary
Alfred Aaron "Butch" Lackey, 75, of Fairview, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at his residence. He was born on September 3, 1942 in Buncombe County, NC to the late John Patton and Grace Burnette Lackey. Alfred was a US Army Veteran and then worked as a pipe fitter for a piping company. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Asheville and a member of the Local 487 Pipefitters Union. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Glenda Foor, Sara Lackey, and Howard Lackey. Alfred is survived by his wife, Juanita; his sons, Timothy M. Lackey of Fairview and Michael A. Lackey (Claire) of Hendersonville; his brothers, Johnny Lackey of Bryson City, NC and Ronnie Lackey of Charlottesville, VA; his sisters, Lois Buckner of Arden and Mary Helen Fox of Rock Hill, SC; his granddaughter, Hannah E. Lackey of Hendersonville; and numerous nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.
