Bobbie Sue (Hyatt) Nave

Asheville - Bobbie Sue Hyatt Nave died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in the care of Hospice at the age of 93.  She was known as Bobbie Sue to her friends, Mother to her children, and Grannie to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She often said with a smile in her eyes, “every day is Mother’s Day.“  She loved her family. Children: Jim Navé (Tish), David Nave (Debbie), Sam Navé (Dana) and Nancy Nave. Grandchildren: Jason Nave (Jennifer), Michelle Lankford (Todd), Adam Hamlin (Ashley), Amanda Marvelle (Nathan), Sammy Navé (Emily), Kali Navé, Anna Farmer (Nathan) and John Hamlin (Karri), 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Bobbie Sue was a devout Christian and a lifelong student of the Bible, the great philosophers, and religious teachings of all faiths. In the end, she always returned to the same conclusion, “Jesus is the answer.”
Bobbie Sue graduated from Biltmore Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in her early 20's. Later in life, she attended Mars Hill College where she obtained a BS in Allied Health. Over the years she would often say that her profession as a nurse was her cherished calling which allowed her to work in the world with great joy.
A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Asheville on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 2:00pm.
