Clark Allan Rosenberger, 87, of Asheville, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Deerfield Health Care Center in Asheville. He was born on May 2, 1931 in Emmett County, Iowa to the late August Benton and Olive Octavia Olson Rosenberger. Clark was a retired LTC with the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He also worked as an engineer for Carolina Power and Light Company and was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church. Clark was widowed by his wife, Betty Jane Rosenberger, who passed away on September 7, 2014. Along with Betty Jane, he was preceded in death by his son, Clark A. Rosenberger Jr. Clark is survived by his daughter Diane Rosenberger Slater (C. Bradford) of Pineville, NC; his brother, Paul Rosenberger (Verlyn) of Decatur, IL; his three granddaughters, Emilie Pickering (Ryan), Alison Renos (Tyler), and Amanda Rosenberger; and four great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm, Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Western Carolina State Veterans' Cemetery in Black Mountain with military honors by the United States Air Force. There will also be a memorial service at 11am in the Deerfield Health Care Center chapel on Friday, September 21, 2018. The family will receive friends after the services at Deerfield Health Care.
