Edward John Stipek

     Edward John Stipek, 95, of York County, SC, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at his home in Lake Wylie, SC. He was born on January 7, 1923 in Chicago, IL to the late John Edward Stipek and Emma Brocker Stipek. Edward was a United States Navy Veteran and also worked as a general laborer for a boat marina. He was a member of Mother of God Russian Orthodox Church in Charlotte, NC. Edward is survived by his son, Scott Stipek (Elena) of Lake Wylie, SC; and his daughter, Sandy Stipek Schell of Madeira Beach, FL.
     A memorial service with US Navy Honors will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Stipek Family.
