Franklin Pierce Leonard Sr., loving husband, dad and papaw went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Frank was born on December 1, 1955 in Lexington, NC. He attended North Davidson High School. He was owner operator of Leonard's Lawn Care and Hauling. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Davie County where he will be laid to rest. Surviving are his wife, Linda Nelon Leonard; three sons, Franklin P. Leonard II (Gretchen), Tim Leonard (Carla), Anthony James (Shana); 10 grandchildren, Clayton, Landon, Pierceson, Mallori, Ava Whitaker, Austin, Elizabeth, Chloey and Addyson James, Tyler Robertson; and two sisters, Diane and Teresa. He is preceded in death by his mother, Francis Weaver; brother, Timmy Leonard and sister, Rhonda.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Freedom Baptist Church of Mocksville. The service will also be held at Freedom Baptist Church on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 2pm. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Leonard family.
