Glen Angel

    Glen Angel, 85, of Fairview, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at his home. He was a native of Erwin, TN and was a resident of Buncombe County, NC for many years. Glen was the son of the late Mack and Maude Angel. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Delores "Lois" Harris Angel who passed away August 20, 2015, and a grandson, Stephen Hart. He worked at Beacon Manufacturing in Swannanoa for over 30 years as a machine mechanic.
    He is survived by his son, Jerry Angel and his wife, Debbie of Arden; his daughter Diana Angel Bacon and her husband Evan of Fairview; his siblings, Bobby Angel and wife, Glenda of Pickens, SC; Gwendolyn Gilstrap of Pickens, SC; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. 
    His funeral service will be at 3:00pm, Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in the Penland Family Funeral Home Chapel in Swannanoa. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00pm-3:00pm in the chapel. Rev. David Honeycutt will be officiating. Burial will follow at Cane Creek Cemetery in Fairview. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Angel family.
