Haywood Carl Holmes

Haywood Carl Holmes was 67 years old. He went home peacefully with God at the Brian Center in Hendersonville N.C. He was a native of Beulaville N.C. born and raised. He went to the school of the deaf in Morganton N.C. He has been in Duplin County for 66 years. He moved to Western North Carolina 2 months ago to live with his daughter Beth Braswell and his son in law Thomas Braswell. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wallace N.C. He was a mechanic for 42 years in Eastern N.C. He is preceded in death by his wife Cathy Holmes of 39 years, his parents Carl and Dollie Holmes and a brother Ervin Holmes. Leaving behind a daughter Beth Braswell, 5 grandkids, Monica, Joshua, Dominic, Amy, and Ava, and a sister, Sue Summerlin of Beulaville N.C. He had a lot of family and friends. Special people in his life were William and Georgia Henkhaus and Mike and Esther Pate. Special thanks to The Brian Center, Four Seasons Hospice and Parkridge In Home Health Care all of Hendersonville N.C.
