It's through familysearch.org that I just found out about Homer Lee Sam's, my first cousin once removed. He was my mother's first cousin. Her name was Helen Louise Ward, daughter of Virgie Sam's. Because I and my sisters grew up in the foster care system, there are many family members we don't know. How sad to learn I'll never get to know him. If any of my mom's family would like to contact me, please do.
