John William Beddingfield Jr.

          John William Beddingfield Jr., age 81 of Black Mountain, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at The Laurels of Summit Ridge in Asheville.  He was born on February 14, 1938 in Buncombe County to the late John William Beddingfield Sr. and Ruth Wikle.  John was a United States Navy Veteran and also worked as a rock mason for his cousin.  John is survived by his brothers, James Richard Beddingfield (Libby) of Cumming, GA, Roger Neal Beddingfield (Cristita) of Swannanoa, and Walton Mitchell Beddingfield also of Swannanoa.
          A graveside service will be held at 12pm, Tuesday, October 8, 2019 the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.  The family will be receiving friends in the chapel of Penland Family Funeral Home from 10am-11am on the same day.  Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Beddingfield Family.
