John Cornell Lindsley

John Cornell Lindsley age 78 of Asheville passed away Saturday May 6, 2017 at the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center. He was a native and resident of Buncombe County. He was the son of the late Dr. Charles Halsey Lindsley and Frances Hale Lindsley. In addition to his parents he was also pre-deceased by his brother Charles Lindsley. He was a graduate of Lee Edwards High School in Asheville. He retired from Quaker Oats as an Engineer and Plant Manager. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines Corp. He was the husband of the late Patricia Louise Smith Lindsley who passed away April 28, 2017. He is survived by his children, Angela Kay Lindsley of Asheville, Rocky Darren Lindsley and his wife, Natalie, of Asheville, Frances Elizabeth Lindsley McLaughlin and her husband, Michael, of Fletcher; eleven grandchildren, Chris Sluder, Shelby Harrell, Siera Williams, Spencer Williams, Kapri Lindsley, Whitney Fletcher, Savanah McLaughlin, Jacob Locke, Sydney McLaughlin, Anna Locke, and Sienna McLaughlin and Great Grandchildren Jaxon Lanning, and Hayze Lambert. He is also survived by his brothers Donald Lindsley of New York, Derek Lindsley of Raleigh NC and James Lindsley of Durham NC. Private Service will be held by the family. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center, 21 Belvedere Road, Asheville NC 28803.
