Robert "Louie" Bridges

Robert "Louie" Bridges, Sr., 77, of Alexander passed away on May 11, 2017 at the John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville. He is preceded in death by; his parents Eugene and Eva Bridges; his daughter Robbie Padgett; his siblings Nancy Rich, Jimmie Bridges, Alice Marlowe, and David Bridges. He retired from Georgia Pacific and worked for many years at Burlington Mills.

He was a Southern Baptist. He enjoyed playing the keyboard, banjo and guitar. He also liked fixing things. He is survived by; Lorene Case Bridges, his wife of 12 years; children Ricky Bridges (Elinor), Alice Lynne Childers, Robert Louie Bridges, Jr. (Lori), all of Fairview and Neal Bridges of Alexander; seven stepchildren, five of which live in Washington State, one from Connecticut and one in Tennessee; fifteen grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, and many great and great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the J & S Cafeteria in River Ridge on Tuesday, May 16th from 4-5:30 pm.
