Robert Lee Rogers

     Robert Lee Rogers, 82, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018 at his residence. He was born on June 6, 1936 in Buncombe County to the late William Scott Rogers and Helen Leath Penn Rogers. Robert worked with his son in the grading business that they owned together. He also worked for Wise Radio Station for several years earlier in his life. He is predeceased by his son, Robert Keith Rogers who passed away on May 17, 2018. Robert is survived by his son, Michael Eric Rogers of Swannanoa; and his brother, "Bud" Rogers of Swannanoa. 

     A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, September 1, 2018 in the Penland Family Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be receiving friends an hour before from 1pm-2pm in the chapel. Rev. Louis Melton will be officiating. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Rogers Family.
