Roger Mack Camby

Roger Mack Camby, of Swannanoa, born July 6, 1940, passed away April 17, 2017 at Mission Hospital St. Joseph's Campus at the age of 76.

Mr. Camby was a member of the Swannanoa Church of God and attended the Black Mountain Church of God. He worked for Olin / Mathis & Youngblood Trucking Companies.

Mr. Camby is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Judy Marie Camby (2010); and three sons, Keith, Jimmy, and Donnie.

Survivors include his children, Laura McCaskill (Adam) of Swannanoa, Brenda Wilson (Bill) of Morganton, and Clifford Camby (Stephanie) of Marion; a brother, Theodore Winslow Camby (Bobbie) of Fairview; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 19 at Penland Family Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 20 at 2:00 PM at Penland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. O.H. (Mack White) officiating.

Mr. Camby was a loving father and will be greatly missed.
