Ronald Louis Downard

     Ronald Louis Downard, 73, of Candler, NC, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the VA Hospice. He was born on November 29, 1944 in West Frankford, IL to the late Ralph Louis and Marcella Willard Downard. He worked as a goldsmith at a jewelry store and was a United States Navy Veteran who served in Vietnam. Ronald is survived by his wife, Kerry Tolar Downard; his sons, Ralph Morgan Downard (Cassandra) of Candler and Jesse Louis Downard, also of Candler; his daughters, Caitlin Downard of Candler and Jill Hartman of MO; and his three grandchildren, Camden Downard, Jayden Downard and Gabriel Downard.

     A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Downard family.
