Theodore "Ted" Winslow Camby

       Theodore "Ted" Winslow Camby, age 79, of Fairview, NC, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019. He was born on January 30, 1939 in Buncombe County to the late Samuel Ernest and Juanita Jackson Camby. Ted worked as a hydraulics mechanic for a fork lift company and was a member of Swannanoa Church of God. He also served in the United States Coast Guard and was a Vietnam Veteran as well. Ted was widowed by his wife, Bobbie Harper Camby who passed away on August 18, 2017. He is survived by his son, Richard Camby of Columbia, SC; his grandchildren, Brittany L. Camby Coffey and Tyler Camby; and his three great grandchildren.
       There will be a graveside service at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 12pm. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Camby Family.
