Adam Royce Brown, 49, of Woodfin, passed away peacefully at home on February 14, 2026. Adam was born in Ulysses, Kansas to Royce Eli Brown and Diana Glasco Hecht.
Adam had an extensive health journey that spanned more than two decades. Adam fought the good fight until the end. Adam credited his faith in God for his strength to carry on through the difficult times in life. Adam enjoyed Christian music and was faithful in prayer and studying the Bible. Adam shared his faith with others whenever he had the chance.
Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil M. Brown and Edith Brown, and Fred Glasco Jr. and Ruth Glasco.
In addition to his parents, Adam is survived by his wife, Sheila Bunn Brown, sons Dakota Brown, Eli Brown and Caleb Brown, sister; Beth Clyma, brother; Ryan (Carmen)Brown niece; Zoe Brown, and nephews; Marcus Clyma, Josh Brown and Sebastain Brown, Aunts Teresa (Joe) Copeland, Nancy Hawes, Nancy Shephard and Uncle Scott Glasco.
Adam had various jobs as a teenager and adult, but was most proud of serving as a paramedic in Greenville County, SC. Adam received a degree in Emergency Medical Sciences from A-B Tech.
Adam enjoyed playing computer games and he made many friends along the way. Adam would always make sure to talk to his online friends about God and would encourage them and pray for them when they were having difficult times. It was one way that Adam was able to reach people even when he was not feeling well and not able to go out.
A memorial service will be held on February 21, 2026, at 10:00 am at Penland Family Funeral Home, 125 South Avenue, Swannanoa, NC 28778. The Reverend Sheila Bunn Brown will officiate.
