Adam Shawn McCall

Adam Shawn McCall, age 45, of Mills River, NC passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 24, 2025 in Asheville, NC.

Adam was born to the late James Larry McCall and his mother, Karen C. McCall of Mills River, NC. He was a graduate of West Henderson High School class of 1998. Adam had a gift for making people laugh and was the life of any gathering. His personality was magnetic and the level of compassion that he showed his family and friends was beyond comparison. Many days you could find him at a bowling alley bowling a perfect to near perfect game with a ball which he had drill to perform his will. To say that he was an excellent bowler would be an understatement. You could find him most at peace when sitting on a beach listening to the waves of the ocean breaking in the surf.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are his son Logan Ezra McCall of Candler; sister,  Stacey L. Samotis and husband Sam of Mills River; brother, Matthew B. McCall of Mills River; nephews, Tyler Samotis, Cameron Samotis and Parker Samotis all of Mills River; niece, Julianna Samotis of Mills River.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025 in the Chapel of Penland Family Funeral Home, 125 South Avenue, Swannanoa, NC 28778 at 3 PM.

The family respectfully ask  that in lieu of flowers donations be made to First Contact Ministries,  106 Chadwick Ave, Hendersonville, NC 28792 in Adams honor.
