Barry Woody Tomlinson

     Barry W. Tomlinson, 66, a resident of Buncombe County, NC, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 11, 2018. He worked in the automotive industry in the Asheville area for many years. Barry was known for his generosity and had a genuine desire to help those in need. His passion for flying and automobiles was evident to all. Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo (Tommy) Tomlinson of Yuba City, CA and Evelyn McCarson Tomlinson of Leicester, NC. He is survived by his children, Sandra Tomlinson Hollar and husband, John Hollar of Weaverville, NC, and Jim Tomlinson of Pendleton, KY; his brother, Bruce Tomlinson and wife, Diane of Leicester, NC; grandchildren, Ashley, Eilish, Alan, Elijah and Alec; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
     A celebration of life will be held at 1pm, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Western Chapel United Methodist Church located at 575 S. Turkey Creek Rd, Leicester, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the National Stroke Association at 9707 E. Easter Ln, Suite B, Centennial, CO 80112 or the National Parkinson's Foundation at 200 SE 1st St, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
