Betty Jean DeHart

Betty Jean Rickard DeHart, 91, of Lithia, Florida, born in Barnardsville, North Carolina on January 20, 1931, entered into eternal rest on November 16, 2022.

She was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church and formerly of Crossroads Baptist Church, and a retired roof truss engineer for Central Florida Truss. She loved her family and church dearly, and enjoyed working.

She was preceded in death by husband John E. DeHart; and parents Thomas and Lona Rickard.

She is survived by daughter, Susan-Lynn Lewis (Rick) of Lithia; grandchildren, Sarah Lewis Nolan (Brandon), Johnathan Lewis (Emily), and Joshua Lewis; and great-grandchildren, Chloe Nolan, Abigail Nolan, Micah Nolan, Luke Nolan, Elijah Lewis, and Wyatt Lewis.

 A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 22nd at 3:00 P.M. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 South County Road 39, Plant City, FL, where the family received friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

A second funeral service will be held at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church, 2176 US Hwy 70, Swannanoa, NC, on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Frank Cantrell and Pastor Brandon Nolan officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Sky View Memorial Park, 1610 Tunnel Rd., Asheville, NC.
