Billie Faye Burch Broadwell, age 87, of Fairview, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Fleshers of Fairview. She was born on April 23, 1934 in Roxboro to the late Owen Lester Burch and Onie Delilah Beaver Burch. Billie graduated from the University of California, at Stanislaus with a Bachelor's degree and a teaching credential. She worked as a special education teacher and was of the Protestant Faith. Billie enjoyed gardening, hiking in the Sierra Mountains of California, walking, canning, painting, collecting, music and drawing.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lynwood Wallace. Those left behind to cherish Billie's memory are her daughters, Judi Silber of Arnold, CA, Karen Wallace of Avery, CA, and Debbie Wallace of Milford, CT; her son, Ronald "Dean" Wallace of Leicester; her sisters, Alma Allen of Roxboro, Frances Ewing (Carol) of Fletcher, and Linda Springer of Cumming, GA; her grandchildren, Kimberly Wallace, Kristen Wallace, Rita Hansen, Justin Wallace, Tammy Wallace, Tristan Wallace and Kyle Soiseth; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11am, Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Shepherd Memorial Park in Hendersonville. Pastor Phillip Luther will be officiating.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Aunt Francis (Carol) Ewing. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Broadwell Family and assisting them with arrangements.
