Brenda Jo (Allen) Palmer

Brenda Jo Allen Palmer, age 74, of Black Mountain passed away on  Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Emerald Ridge Rehabilitation and Care Center in Asheville, NC.

Brenda was born on February 2, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Loyd Allen and Lois Tracy Allen.

She Graduated from Harper College in Illinois with a degree in Interior Design. She worked for Bramblewood in Black Mountain until her retirement. Brenda was a Christian lady who was known for her devotion and love for her family. She was a very caring person, and she would make many sacrifices in the pursuit of helping others. Brenda was a fighter, she bravely fought cancer for 12 years. She lived life to the fullest, and like the Eagles song, she would “take it to the limit one more time''.

In addition to her parents Brenda was preceded in death by her brother Patrick Grady.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Franklin Harris; daughter, Julie Hunt of Harrisburg NC; son, Joshua Neal of Asheville; two grandsons, Jackson Neal and Ryan Neal both of Asheville NC; two granddaughters Emily Neal and Amanda Neal both of Harrisburg NC.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
