Casey Glenn Young

Casey Glenn Young, age 24, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at his residence.

Casey was born on July 14, 1998 to Jeff (Debbie) Young of Black Mountain, NC and Amy (Nick) Coyle of Nettleton, MS.

He Graduated from Owen High School and was employed with Reese Grading and Excavating LLC.

Casey enjoyed spending his days hunting, fishing and hanging out with his buddies.

Casey was preceded in death by his grandfather Papaw Gerald Roper. In addition to his parents those left behind to cherish his memory are his sisters, Cortney (Michael) Young of Corinth, MS, Christy (Kevin) Young of Arden, NC, Candace (Jake) Pegg of Munds Park, AZ; a brother Hunter (Nic) Thompson of Atlanta, GA; Grandparents, Mamaw Midge (Ron) Roper of Swannanoa, NC, Stanley (Pam) Shook of Booneville, MS, Mary Sills of Booneville, MS; many nephews and nieces, Zach, C.J. and Lydia of Corinth, MS; Kinslee and Kayleeann of Arden, NC; Parker and Jocelyn of Munds Park, AZ.

He is also survived by 5 uncles, an aunt, and numerous amounts of extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Penland Family Funeral Home located at 125 South Avenue, Swannanoa, NC 28778 with Pastor Marc Shumaker, Special Speakers, Jeff Foster and Ryan Perry Gilliland.  The family will receive friends for 2 hours prior to service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
