Cassandra Lynn Hensley

            Cassandra Lynn Hensley, age 34, of Pickens, SC passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at her residence. Cassandra was born on July 8, 1987, in Buncombe County to Calvin Hensley and Luwana Clemmons Hensley. She was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church in Candler, NC. Cassandra was a loving and wonderful mother, fiancé, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She had a smile that would light up the room and her personality was a ray of sunshine. She always made you feel better when you were in her presence. She was a very thoughtful and caring person who enjoyed cooking and putting her delicious meals on Facebook for all to see and enjoy. Cassandra was very close to her family, and they enjoyed getting together every Saturday night for a fun evening of eating out and visiting. Her family and children were her everything and she will be missed so very much by all who knew her and loved her.
            Cassandra was preceded in death by her infant son, Riley Poole. In addition to her parents, Cassandra leaves behind her fiancé Dustin Green, of Pickens; her daughters, Ashley Poole and Trinidy Green and a son, Isaiah Green, all of Pickens; three sisters, Tonya Hensley of Candler, NC, Kimberly Hensley of Franklin, NC and Kelly Hensley of Asheville, NC; and a host of aunts, uncles and many cousins.
             A funeral service will be held at 1pm, Monday, September 20, 2021 in the chapel of Penland Funeral Home in Swannanoa, NC with the Pastor Ricky McCarson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service in the chapel from 11:30am-1:00pm. Burial will follow the service at Skyview Memorial Park in Asheville.
