Clingman "C.L." Lewis Pressley

Clingman "C.L." Lewis Pressley, age 81, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at The Laurels of Summit Ridge in Asheville, NC.

C.L. was born on December 2, 1942, in Buncombe County, NC, to the late Jesse Eckles Pressley and Hazel Davis Pressley. He retired from Drexel Heritage and Grocery Outlet and attended Bee Tree Missionary Baptist Church in Swannanoa. C.L. was a faithful Atlanta Braves fan. His fondest memories were made playing with his adored grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Pressley. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Betty Ann Warren Pressley; two sons, Joe Pressley of Swannanoa and Jerry Pressley of Marion, NC; daughter, Vickey (Ben) Sellers of Marshall, NC; granddaughters, Teagan (Clay) Feaganes of Swannanoa, Abby Sellers of Marshall, and Avery Pressley of Pleasant Gardens, NC; grandson, Brayden Warren of Pleasant Gardens; great-granddaughter, Everleigh Feaganes of Swannanoa; sister, Delsie (Wayne) Jones of Swannanoa; brothers, David (Delores) Pressley of Black Mountain, NC and Ernest Pressley of Black Mountain, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at noon at Bee Tree Missionary Baptist Church, with Reverend Jeff Tomberlin, Reverend Willie Warren, Reverend Ronnie Edwards, and Reverend Richard Warren officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service.

A special thank you to the staff at The Laurels of Summit Ridge, to his primary care doctor, Dr. Adcock, and to the love, prayers, and fellowship of his Church family.
