Conley Edgar Davis

Conley Davis, age 74, of Leicester, NC, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC.

Conley was born on August 16, 1951, to the late Paul and Mildred Phillips Davis. He proudly served in the United States Army. Conley enjoyed carp fishing, following the Atlanta Braves, and bowling—where he averaged a 200 score and met the love of his life. He was an avid woodworker, known for his intarsia art. Conley was also a joker and loved having fun especially playing cards on family game nights.

In addition to his parents, Conley was preceded in death by his brothers Mike Phillips and George Davis. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Lisa Wyatt Davis; daughters Misti Davis and her partner Chris MacDonald of Leicester, and Samantha Davis of Leicester; grandchildren Hadley and Kyler; and his brother Gary Phillips and wife Marie of Knoxville, TN.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at noon in the chapel of Penland Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
