Danny Bruce Creasman, age 54, of Asheville, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 10, 2021, at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.
Danny was born on June 11, 1967, in Buncombe Co., to Jerry and Carole Creasman. He graduated from A. C. Reynolds High School and worked as a cook for Paul Cogdill, the owner of “On the Spot Cooking” until he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
He loved to go hiking and enjoyed being outdoors. His mother says, he was a “wanderer.” Danny was very smart and very talented. He was an artist who made beautiful paintings and drawings and was an excellent guitar player who really enjoyed playing songs from the band “The Grateful Dead.” He will be dearly missed by all of those who loved and knew him.
In addition to his parents, Danny is survived by a brother, Timmy Creasman and two sisters, Cindy (Brian) McElrath and Kristy (Tim) Woodcock, all of Asheville; three nephews, Justin Cobb, Jordan McElrath, and Zach Woodcock, all of Asheville; and two nieces, Kaylee McElrath and Carrleigh Woodcock, both of Asheville.
There will be no services at this time and the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to:
National MS Society, P.O. Box 91891, Washington, D.C. 20090.
Danny’s mother wrote this poem for her son and wanted to share it:
“Fly Fly Fly”
Run those trails and hike those mountains,
Tanbark Ridge and Craggy Gardens were your favorite,
Will miss you so very much
But want you to be that free beautiful spirit again
Will love you now and forever
And you will always be in my heart
My sweet beautiful Danny boy.
Love, Mom
