David Allen Robinson

          David Allen Robinson, age 62, of Waynesville, NC, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, March 28, 2020. He was born on July, 6, 1957, in Henderson County, to the late George Robinson and Kathryn Lytle Robinson. He graduated from A.C. Reynolds High School and worked in construction. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Robinson; two sisters, Shirley Pressley and Sheila Beard; and his son, David Penley. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Michelle Ledbetter and husband Josh, of Leicester; four sisters, Carol Brown, of Warner Robins, GA, Brenda Robinson of Arden, NC, Debra Menius and husband Tim of Kannapolis, NC, and Malisa Mitchell of Marion, NC; step-mother, Betty Robinson of Arden; grandchildren McKayla Robinson and Jordan Gannon, both of Leicester; and his former wife and long-term partner, Betty Penley of Waynesville.
          In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to Sandy Valley Baptist Church, 1124 S. Houston Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088. No services are planned at this time and may be announced at a later date by the family. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Robinson family with arrangements.
