Deborah Nell (Smith) Turner

Deborah Nell Smith Turner, age 64, of Weaverville, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2020, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Turner was born on August 1, 1956, in Burlington, NC to the late William Walter Smith and Barbara Ann Morgan Smith. Debbie was a dedicated and hard working lady who worked as an I Manager for Ingles in Woodfin for 17 years.

She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Debbie would take you under her wing and make you feel like she was your second mom. She was always there to lend a hand or a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen to your problems. She loved everyone and once you were her friend, you were her friend forever.

Debbie really enjoyed being with her grandchildren and making crafts, going to the beach or lake or even the kiddie pool! She loved being by the water and soaking up the sun.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Stevan Turner; her son, Kyle Turner of Weaverville; a daughter, Bryanna Sams and fiancé Alan Austin of Erwin, TN; three brothers, Bill and Wayne Smith, both of Marion, NC and James Smith of Asheville, NC; and three grandchildren she adored, Bladen Turner of Marshall, and Kennedy and Pyper Austin of Erwin, TN.

A celebration of life for Deborah will be held from 2pm-4pm, Friday, October 30, 2020 at GracePoint Woodland Hills Church in Asheville.
