Dena Jane (Biggs) Wilson

Dena Jane Biggs Wilson, age 79, of Fairview, NC, passed away with her family lovingly by her side on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

Dena was born on August 21, 1945, in Buncombe County to the late James Clell Biggs and Alma Spivey Biggs. She attended Trinity of Fairview Baptist Church and enjoyed flowers, birds, and being a preacher's wife of 33 years. Her greatest joy were her children,  she loved her family and watching her grandchildren grow was one of her favorite delights.

She loved being a wife to her husband of 60 years, Jerry Wilson of Fairview. Along with Jerry those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Alan (Renee') Wilson of Erwin, TN, Daryl (Traci) Wilson of Fairview; daughters Denise (Keith) McFee of Candler and Celeste Wilson of Fairview; grandchildren, Garrett Wilson, Colby (Heather) Wilson, Lillian Wallen and Georgia Wallen; great-grandchild, Willow Wilson; brothers, Steve Biggs of Fairview and Mark (Sharon) Biggs of Fairview. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Jared Alan Wilson.

A Private Service will be held for family and close friends on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 962 Old US HWY 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711, at 2 PM with Pastor Stacey Harris and Pastor Colby Wilson officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Wilson, Daryl Wilson, Keith McFee, Garrett Wilson, Colby Wilson, and Grammy's angel Jared Alan Wilson.
