Eddie Malone McMahan

Eddie Malone McMahan, age 66, of Swannanoa, NC passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Mission Hospital.

Eddie was born January 15, 1956, to Betty Harris Crowder and the late Edgar William McMahan.

He retired after 33 years working in the custodial department at Charles George VA Medical Center and was a 1977 graduate of Charles D. Owen High School. Eddie also attended Haywood Community College and was a proud United States Army veteran.

A dear soul, Eddie was very kindhearted. He cared about helping others and he loved his family and friends. Everyone who knew Eddie loved him.

His memory will live in our hearts forever, while he is at peace in Heaven.

In addition to his mother, Eddie is survived by his beloved daughter, Auriella of Asheville; stepfather, Ken Crowder of Swannanoa, and stepsister, Anita Crowder of Barnardsville. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Eddie’s family wishes to thank all who have shown kindness during this sad time.
