Edward "Ed" Sneed

Edward ''Ed'' Sneed, aged 71, of Black Mountain, NC, passed away December 12, 2024 at Valor Hospice.

Ed was born June 23, 1953, in Asheville, NC, to the late Alvin Sneed and Beatrice Freeman Sneed. He was a member of the US Navy and worked for Wright Machine and Tool Co.

Ed is survived by his wife of 12 years, Cynthia Dianne Copeland Snyder of the home; children, David Sneed of Asheville, NC, Albert Escobar of Suisun City, CA; siblings, Ron Sneed of Black Mountain, NC, Tony Sneed of Black Mountain, NC and Kathy Sneed Monroe of Old Fort, NC; stepdaughter, Brooke Wines of Etowah, NC; and special cousin and kayaking buddy Brenda Sneed, of Marion, NC.

Ed will be interred at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 962 Old US Hwy 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711, on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 2 pm.
