Frank Lee Hallback

          Frank Lee Hallback, age 56, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Mission Hospital in Asheville. He was born on November 20, 1963 in East Meadow, NY to the late Frank Reider and Ella Jewell Thompson Hallback. Frank worked at Ingles Warehouse in Black Mountain as a receiving clerk. He also volunteered at The Swannanoa Welcome Table. He was a loving husband, brother, son and uncle and a quiet, hardworking man.  In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Hallback and a sister, Joanne Hallback. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Jessica Hallback; his brother, Charles Hallback of Monterey, CA; his sisters, Terri Hallback of Black Mountain, Sharon Carpenter (Larry) of Robbinsville, NC, and Sarah Hallback of Fairview; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
          A funeral mass will be held at 2:30pm, Thursday, May 14, 2020 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Swannanoa. Father Brian Becker will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church an hour before the mass at 1:30pm. Burial will follow the funeral mass at Mountain View Memorial Park in Black Mountain. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Hallback Family.
