Helen Marie Bass McGee, age 63 of East Flat Rock, NC, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Bristol Regional Hospital, TN.

 Helen was born on July 5, 1961 to the late Floyd Pearl Bass and Agnes Marie Hinton Bass.  She has lived in East Flat Rock for 14 years and spent time living in Southern California. Helen spent years as a dedicated CNA. She attended real estate clerical trade school. Cooking was one of her greatest gifts, she enjoyed making new dishes and gathering her loved ones around the table to try them. She also loved to travel and wouldn't turn down a good road trip.

 In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her brothers, James Bass, Paul Bass, and Jackie "Jack" Bass. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years Edgar Gene McGee of East Flat Rock; daughters, Amber McGee of Hendersonville, NC, Sarah Landrum of East Flat Rock, Christina McGee of Flat Rock, NC; son-in-law, Taurus Landrum of Hendersonville, NC; sister Flora "Sissy" Nold of Moreno Valley, CA; brother, Richard "Rick" Bass; grandchildren, Jason Jackson Jr., Jeremiah Jackson, Timothy "Jo Jo" McGee, Tyneshia Jackson, Brionnia Harrison, Kara Harrison, DeAndre McGee, Nariyah McGee, William Howell, and Legacy Rogers; great-grandchildren, Taytum "Tater Tot" Jackson, Ty'Jay Albany, Jamilia Albany, Antwone Williams Jr., Kingston Williams and Eliana Whiteside; nephews, Josh Bass, Jack Bass and James Bass of Hendersonville and sister-in-law Shirley Bass; out of state nieces and nephews, Dennis Nold Jr., Patrick Nold, Jaine Nold Frint, John Paul Bass, Brian Bass, Shelia Bass, Nick Bass, and James "Lil Jimmy" Bass; great-nieces and nephews, Maggie Frint, Kylie Nold, Tina Nold Miller, Christopher Nold, Adam Bass, Jaidyn Bass, Logan Bass, Jack Bass III, Lilly Faye, Lucas Pierce, Jaquline Bass, and Isaiah Bass; and her adopted friend, Amber Jackson.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Hooper's Creek Community Center at 499-433 Hoopers Creek Road, Fletcher, NC 28732.
