Hope (Young) Wilson

Hope Wilson, 89, of Swannanoa passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the Laurels of Green Tree Ridge in Asheville.

Born February 7, 1935, in Yancey County, NC, a daughter of the late Jess Young and Ena Robertson. She was a hard worker who enjoyed helping others and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, V.A. Wilson; 2 sisters, and 4 brothers.

Surviving are her children, Vernon Wilson and his spouse, Debra, of Sevierville, TN, David Wilson and his spouse, Missy, and Keith Wilson all of Charlotte, NC; siblings, Earl Young and his spouse, Betty, of Burnsville, NC and Helen King of Katy, TX; and grandchildren; Chad Wilson, Grant Wilson, Mackenzie Wilson all of Charlotte, NC.

A private service will be held at a later date. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Wilson.
