James Franklin Ward Sr.

James "Jimmy" Franklin Ward Sr., age 67, of Fairview, NC, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

Jimmy was born on November 12, 1954 in Buncombe County, NC to the late James Richard Ward and Ruby Elizabeth Brackett Ward. He was an employee for Buncombe County Schools at Fairview Elementary where he worked as a bus driver for the last 7 years.  He was a member of Fletcher Feed and Seed Church.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his beloved wife Janice Ruth Ward. Brothers Terry and Lloyd Ward. Sisters Mary Ann Schram and Joyce Graves.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, James Ward Jr. of Fairview, NC; daughter, Cassie (Corby) Whitaker of Fairview, NC; brothers, George (JoAnn) Ward of Asheville, NC and Tommy (Vicki) Ward of Asheville, NC; grandsons, Corbett and Brandon Whtaker of Fairview, NC and multiple nieces and nephews.
