Jeannette Holley

          Jeannette Holley, age 76, of Asheville, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Carolina Pines at Asheville. She was born on June 17, 1943 in Alexander City, Alabama to the late Jake Holley and Maggie Lee Young Holley and was a member of Macedonia AME Zion Church in Swannanoa. Jeannette was a very caring and loving person. She always had a smile on her face and she had a great sense of humor. She adored her nieces and nephews and loved her entire family deeply.

            Along with her parents, Jeannette was also preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Holley and a sister, Cora Morris. She is survived by her brother, Bernard Holley (Frankie) of Asheville; her sisters, Annie Mitchell of Asheville, Emma Rogers of Asheville, Barbara Young of Swannanoa, and Ruby Simpson of Sumter, SC; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; and other relatives.

            A graveside service will be held at 12pm, Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Macedonia AME Zion Church Cemetery. Rev. Cathy Logan will be officiating. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Holley Family.
