Jerry Wayne Lenoir, age 66, of Black Mountain, NC passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry was born on October 10, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late John Lenoir and Olga Moss Lenoir.
After he graduated high school in Detroit, he went to Cal State and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He loved Porsche’s and going sailing. Jerry was a wonderful man, who had a passion for life. He enjoyed meeting new friends, going out and enjoying new cuisine, and traveling.
Jerry had a big heart and would help anyone he could. He loved his family dearly and all who knew him and loved him will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Lynn Lenoir.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Becky Laughlin; two brothers, John Lenoir of Detroit, and Mike Lenoir of Franklin, NC; and two nephews, Robert “Bob” Lenoir (Samantha) of Detroit, and John Thomas Lenoir (Tiffany) of Tazewell, TN.
A Celebration of Jerry’s life will be announced by the family at a later date.
