John Daryl Watson

John Daryl Watson, of Swannanoa NC,  went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 18, 2023. Born May 23, 1984, in Spartanburg SC, he was the son of John Dee Watson and the late Kathy Juanette McElfresh. He was only 39 years old. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death.

John was the most wonderful person with the biggest servant’s heart. He was generous, loyal, and kind. John cared so deeply for the people around him. He was so kind and passionate when it came to helping others. He made an impact on many lives. He will be remembered for all the fun he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them.  He will be missed dearly.

John, the most loving and devoted husband, brother and son is survived by his wife, Heather, Father John Dee Watson, Grandmother Ardath Stone. Mother and father in law, Carl and Patricia Cassizzi, twin sister Heather Fowler (Stephen), younger sister Diane Lewis, sister in law Chrissy Hochevar (Matt) and 11 nieces and nephews.

 John was preceded in death by his mother Kathy McElfresh, and grandparents Flora Watson and Taylor Watson Sr.

John was a member of God’s Way Baptist Church of Swannanoa where he served with the bus and youth ministry, lawn care and everything in between.

A Celebration of Life will be held at God’s Way Baptist Church, 943 Warren Wilson Road, Swannanoa, NC  on December 9th at 2:00pm with Pastor Johnny Raines and Pastor Jeff Steinel officiating.
